Roy Campbell

Roy Campbell is presently Director of Music at Shaughnessy Heights United Church. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Music Performance Studies from Concordia University (Montreal), a B Mus in organ/piano and a BA in religious studies from Acadia University (NS), and a Diploma in Art History from the University of B.C. Under the auspices of the Canada Council, Roy studied with Anton Heiller and Daniel Roth in Europe. He has performed with l’Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, l’Opera de Montreal and has given recitals in Japan, US, UK, and Germany. In February of 2009 he attended the Organ/Early Music Festival in Mexico and gave an organ recital in that country. Since 1994 he has performed as soloist and accompanist with various choral groups in Vancouver including Chor Leoni, Lyric Singers and Phoenix Chamber Choir, Canada’s top vocal ensemble. Roy is an active board member of the Vancouver Festival Workshop and a former board member of Early Music Vancouver.
